Most importantly, Users can also create their own activities based on their interests and hobbies.

For example, you could create an activity to find a coffee companion for the weekend or to look for a travel buddy for your upcoming trip to Italy in 2 months. Other users can express their interest in your activity, and you can decide which of them could be a good match to join you.

Cliqued is not a traditional dating app or a social media platform. It is an app specifically designed for adults over the age of 50 to find like-minded friends, companions or romantic partners based on shared activities and interests. Users can create their own activities and events and discover others who are interested in participating, making it a unique platform for genuine connections beyond just dating.

No, you don’t need a subscription to join Cliqued! It’s completely free to download and use. We believe that everyone should have access to a quality app that helps them find companionship and friendship. That’s why we offer a wide range of features for free, including the ability to create and express interest in activities, find like-minded people, and chat for free.

For those who want even more, we offer a premium subscription that unlocks additional features such as the ability to create unlimited activities and connect with an unlimited number of people. With reasonable pricing options of 1, 6, or 12 months, our users can choose the subscription that best fits their budget and needs. However, the free version of Cliqued is still fully functional and provides a great way to connect with others who share your interests.

At Cliqued, we understand that safety and security are top priorities when it comes to online connections. New users are reviewed by our moderators on a weekly basis. In addition, we have implemented encryption to ensure that data is secured during transit and when stored on our servers. Additionally, we have established strict Safety Tips and Community Guidelines to provide a secure environment for our users to use the app with confidence. These are part of our Terms and Conditions and must be followed by all users to ensure a safe and enjoyable experience for everyone.

We also rely on user support in reporting any inappropriate behavior to our team. We have a dedicated team that actively monitors user activity to detect and prevent fraudulent or abusive behavior. To create a profile on Cliqued, you’ll need to download the app and sign up for an account. We ask for your date of birth to ensure that you’re eligible to use Cliqued. We will also ask you to select your interests from our 11 activity categories, such as Travel & Outdoor, Sports & Fitness, and Food & Drinks. Within each category, you can select specific sub-activities that you are passionate about. Additionally, we need to know your relationship preferences, whether you’re seeking friendship, a relationship, or both, as well as the gender you’re interested in. This information is necessary to ensure that we connect you with the most suitable profiles based on your interests and location. Providing accurate and honest information on your profile helps us to match you with like-minded individuals who share your interests.

You’ll also have the option to write a short bio about yourself to give others a better sense of who you are. Please note that all users must read and agree to our Privacy Policy before creating a profile.

If you have any questions or issues with the Cliqued app, you can contact our customer support team by using the contact form available on our website. To delete your account: 

  1. Sign in to the Cliqued app
  2. Navigate to the “Profile” tab
  3. Go to Settings in the top right corner
  4. Scroll to the bottom of the page and click on the button “Delete Account”

Cliqued is available in Switzerland, Germany, and Austria on the App Store for iOS devices. It will be available for Android in 2024.

Sign up and first steps

Before you start connecting  and meeting with others, you need to create a Cliqued account. Follow these simple steps to create your profile:

  1. Download the Cliqued app for iOS.
  2. Read and confirm our Privacy Policy and Terms and Conditions.
  3. Tap on “Sign Up”. 
  4. Link your account – connect your Apple, Google account to make logging in even easier.
  5. Alternatively, enter and verify your email address.
  6. Create your profile. We will navigate you through the process and you can add the information needed to show you suitable profiles later on.
  7. Grant Cliqued the required permissions.

To edit your profile on Cliqued, follow these simple steps:

  1. Navigate to the “Profile” section on the app.
  2. Scroll down to the bottom of the page and click on “Edit Profile.”
  3. Update the information that you want to change.
  4. Scroll down to the bottom of the page and click on “Save” to apply the changes.

Finally, it’s important to keep your profile up-to-date to ensure that we show you the most compatible people and thus ensure the best experience possible for you.

To edit your profile on Cliqued, follow these simple steps:

  1. Navigate to the “Profile” section on the app.
  2. Scroll down to the bottom of the page and click on “Edit Profile.”
  3. Update the “Favourite Activities” section by deleting or adding activities.
  4. Scroll down to the bottom of the page and click on “Save” to apply the changes.

To change the language setting on Cliqued, you need to change the language setting on your device. If you are using an iPhone, you can follow the instructions on how to change the language setting here. Once you have changed the language setting on your device, the language setting on Cliqued will automatically adjust accordingly.

There are two ways to discover user profiles in Cliqued: through the “Contacts” and “Activities” tabs.

To discover users under the “Contacts” tab:

  1. Navigate to the “Contacts” tab.
  2. Click on the interest category to discover users who share that same interest (e.g., Travel & Outdoor).
  3. Start discovering user profiles by scrolling through the user profiles.
  4. Send a “Smile” if you are interested in meeting this person or click on “Maybe Later” if you are not interested in meeting them yet.
  5. In case you accidentally clicked on “Maybe Later,” you can click on “Undo.” However, this feature is only available for our premium subscribers.

To discover users interested in your activities, you need to:

  1. Navigate to “Activities.”
  2. Under “Your Activities,” click on the activity you created to see who showed interest in that activity.
  3. Start discovering user profiles by scrolling through the user profiles.
  4. Send a “Smile” if you are interested in meeting this person for your specific activity or click on “Maybe Later” if you are not interested in meeting them yet.
  5. In case you accidentally clicked on “Maybe Later,” you can click on “Undo.” However, this feature is only available for our premium subscribers.

Sending a “Smile” is a way to express interest in another user or activity on Cliqued. When you send a “Smile” to another user, it Cliqued remembers that you are interested in meeting them. Similarly, when you send a “Smile” to an activity, it notifies the creator of the activity that you are interested in participating.

Sending a “Smile” is a non-committal way to initiate a connection on the platform. If the other user or activity creator is also interested in connecting with you, they can choose to respond by sending you a “Smile” back or by initiating a chat.

It’s important to keep in mind that sending a “Smile” does not automatically result in a match or connection. It’s simply a way to express interest and start a conversation.

Creating activities on Cliqued is easy! Just follow these steps:

  1. Navigate to the “Activities” tab.
  2. Click on “Add Activity.”
  3. Select the category for your activity.
  4. Give your activity a title.
  5. Choose a date for the activity.
  6. Add pictures to make your activity more attractive.
  7. Write a short description to provide more details about your activity.
  8. Scroll down and click “Save” to publish your activity.

Once you’ve saved your activity, it will be available for other users to discover and express their interest in. This is a great way to find like-minded individuals and make new friends or companions.

To discover activities of other members in Cliqued:

  1. Navigate to the “Activities” tab.
  2. Click on “Start Discovering.”
  3. Start browsing through activities.
  4. Send a “Smile” if you are interested in that specific activity or click on “Maybe Later” if you are not interested in that activity yet.
  5. In case you accidentally clicked on “Maybe Later,” you can click on “Undo.” However, this feature is only available for our premium subscribers.
  6. You can check who is behind the activity by clicking on the user’s avatar on that activity.

From the Cliqued App:

  1. Navigate to “Profile” tab. 
  2. Click on “Settings” in the top right corner
  3. Tap on “Notifications”. Here, you can manage both email and push notifications for the app. 

From your device:

  • iPhone: Go to your iOS Settings >  Notifications > Cliqued

Connecting with other users

At Cliqued, we use a proprietary algorithm to match users based on their interests, location, and relationship preferences. We take into account various factors to show the most suitable profiles for each user. These factors include activity categories, sub-activities, user behavior, and user feedback.

Our goal is to create genuine connections between like-minded individuals who share common interests and activities. We believe that this approach is more meaningful and effective than relying on superficial factors like looks only.

However, we also recognize that no algorithm is perfect, and that’s why we rely on user feedback to continuously improve our algorithm. Thus, if you have any suggestions or feedback on how we can improve our algorithm, please feel free to contact us.

When two users show mutual interest in each other’s profiles or activities by sending a smile, Cliqued uses the phrase “It cliqued!” to indicate that there is a potential connection between the two users. This phrase serves as a fun and lighthearted way to let users know that they have shown interest in each other or their activities and may be a good match for a potential friendship, companionship, or  relationship.

To chat with other users on Cliqued, follow these steps:

  1. Navigate to the “Chat” tab in the app.
  2. You will see a list of users who have sent you a smile and whom you have also smiled back at.
  3. Click on the profile of the user you want to chat with.
  4. Type your message in the chat box and hit send.

To use the video chat function on Cliqued:

  1. Navigate to the chat tab and select the user you want to video chat with.
  2. Click on the video camera icon to initiate a video call.
  3. Wait for the other user to accept the call.
  4. Once the call is accepted, you can chat with the other user via video.
  5. To end the call, click on the red “End Call” button.

Finally, please note that you will need a stable internet connection and a device with a camera and microphone to use the video chat function.

At Cliqued, we believe that safety and security are of utmost importance when it comes to online connections. We have established Safety Tips and Community Guidelines to provide a secure environment for our users to use the app with confidence. To block or report a user:

  1. Navigate to the profile of the user you would like to report or block.
  2. Scroll down to the bottom of the page.
  3. If you want to report the user, click on the “Report” button.
  4. Select the reason for your report and provide any additional details if necessary.
  5. If you want to block the user, click on the “Block” button.
  6. Confirm that you want to block the user.
  7. Our team will investigate any reports within the next 24 hours.

Please keep in mind that reporting and blocking should be used responsibly and only in cases where it is necessary. That is why it is important to review our Safety Tips and Community Guidelines to understand what behavior is acceptable on our platform.

Premium Features, Payment and Billing

To enjoy Cliqued’s premium features, follow these steps:

  1. Tap the “Profile” tab on the app.
  2. Tap on the “Settings” icon in the top right corner of the screen.
  3. Select “Premium Subscription” from the menu.

Cliqued offers three subscription options for its Premium service: 1-month, 6-month, and 12-month plans. Users can choose the subscription that best fits their needs and budget. The longer the subscription period, the more affordable the monthly cost becomes. All subscription options provide access to the same premium features.

Subscriptions renew automatically unless you cancel your subscription. Deleting the Cliqued app or your Account will not cancel your subscription. All our payments are handled automatically via Apple Store and you will be billed directly by them. We will never ask you for any credit card details or store any payment information on our servers. Follow the steps below to cancel your Cliqued subscription:

To cancel your subscription using your iPhone

  1. Open your iPhone Settings  
  2. Tap your name, then tap “Subscriptions”
  3. Select the Cliqued subscription you want to cancel 
  4. Tap “Cancel Subscription”

Cliqued Premium Subscriptions will  “auto-renew”. This means that you will automatically be charged on a recurring basis, depending on the type of subscription you purchased. For example, if you purchase a 1-month Cliqued subscription, your subscription will automatically renew at the end of that 1-month period.

You must cancel your subscription prior to your auto-renew date to avoid additional charges. Visit “How can I cancel my subscription” for steps on how to cancel your subscription. Deleting the Cliqued app or your account will not cancel your subscription renewal.

Troubleshooting

Login and Account

If you’ve been banned from Cliqued, it’s likely due to a violation of our Community Guidelines or Terms and Conditions. For example, some common reasons for being banned include using fake or inappropriate profile information, engaging in suspicious or fraudulent behavior. We take the safety and security of our users seriously and will take necessary measures to maintain a respectful and welcoming environment for everyone.

If your account has been banned, you’ll no longer be able to access your Cliqued account or create new accounts in the future. 

Finally, if you believe that your account was banned in error, you can Contact us to appeal the decision. 

If you find yourself experiencing trouble with email verification, try these  steps:

  • Check to see that you’ve correctly entered your email address.
  • If you don’t see the verification email in your inbox, check your spam folder. 
  • Do you have multiple email addresses? Make sure you’re entering the email address associated with your Cliqued account. 

Finally, Contact us, if you experience any other issues while logging in.

To update the email address associated with your Cliqued account:

  1. Open the Cliqued app
  2. Navigate to the “Profile” tab
  3. Select “Settings” in the top right corner
  4. Navigate to Account Setting > Email
  5. Follow instructions for email verification 

We understand how frustrating it can be when an app crashes, but don’t worry, we’re here to help. Here are some troubleshooting steps you can take if you’re experiencing app crashes on Cliqued:

  1. Check your internet connection: Ensure that you have a strong internet connection and try switching between Wi-Fi and mobile data to see if the issue is with your connection.

  2. Delete and reinstall the app: This will not only give you the latest version of Cliqued, but also refresh your app experience, which could resolve the issue.

Billing and Payment Issues

At Cliqued, we understand that sometimes circumstances change, and you may need to request a refund for an in-app purchase. Here’s what you need to know about our refund policy and how to request a refund:

Refund Policy
In general, all charges for in-app purchases are non-refundable, and there are no refunds or credits for partially used periods. However, we may make an exception if a refund for a Cliqued subscription offering is requested within 14 days of the transaction date, if the laws applicable in your jurisdiction provide for refunds. Please refer to our Terms and Conditions for more details.

How to Request a Refund
If you made a purchase through the App Store:

  • Cliqued cannot issue refunds for transactions processed by Apple, so you’ll need to contact Apple with your refund request.
  • To request a refund from Apple, sign in to reportaproblem.apple.com, tap “I’d like to,” then choose “Request a refund.” Select the reason for the refund, then choose “Next.” Finally, select the item you’d like refunded and tap “Submit.”

You’ll need to update your payment method on the iOS platform you used to subscribe. 

  1. Open the Settings app on your iPhone
  2. Navigate to iTunes & App Store 
  3. Tap your Apple ID
  4. Tap “Payment Information”
  5. Edit your details

Contact Apple Support to report this issue. Apple manages all transactions directly, including refunds.

If you’re having trouble with your payment method on Cliqued, please refer to the “How do I update my payment Information” question for more information and troubleshooting steps.

If you receive an error message on iOS that says “Purchase Failed,” it may mean that your Apple ID is already associated with an active subscription on a different Cliqued account. Each Apple ID can only be tied to one Cliqued account and one subscription at a time.

To resolve this issue, you’ll need to delete your old Cliqued account before purchasing a new subscription on your new account. Please note that deleting your account will permanently delete all activities,  chats, and other information associated with it. Here are the steps to delete your account:

  1. Sign in to the Cliqued account you want to delete.
  2. Navigate to the “Profile” tab.
  3. Go to “Settings” in the top right corner.
  4. Scroll down and select “Delete Account”.

Profile and Settings Troubleshooting

Your name and age are two pieces of information in your Cliqued profile that you cannot change once your account is created. However, we understand that typos can happen. If you need to make updates to your name or age, you can delete your account and create a new one with the correct information. It’s important to note that deleting your account will permanently remove all of your messages, activities, and all other information associated with it.

To delete your Cliqued account and start fresh, simply follow these steps:

  1. Open the Cliqued app
  2. Navigate to the “Profile” tab
  3. Go to “Settings” in the top right corner
  4. Scroll down and tap on “Delete Account”

At Cliqued, we strive to create a safe and enjoyable experience for all users. Sometimes, we may need to remove content from profiles that violate our Community Guidelines or Terms and Conditions. If a photo or video has been removed from your profile, it means that it violated our policies. We kindly remind you to review our Community Guidelines and keep them in mind whenever you upload new content to your profile. Home, Activities and Chat

Are you having trouble finding new profiles on Cliqued? Don’t worry, there are a few simple steps you can take to improve your experience.

First, try expanding your search preferences by adjusting your distance and age range by tapping on the “Profile” tab and scrolling down to your location and age settings. This will bring in more potential profiles and increase your chances of finding a person or an activity you’re interested in.

If you still don’t see any new profiles after adjusting your preferences, don’t give up just yet. Keep in mind that new profiles are added to Cliqued all the time, so be sure to check back later and see if there are any new interesting profiles in “Home” or “Activities”. 

At Cliqued, we believe in giving second chances, which is why you might see a profile or activity you’ve previously sent a “Maybe Later” to after several months. This is to increase the chances of you finding a person or activity that you may have overlooked or changed your mind about.

It’s also important to note that if you sent a “Maybe Later” to an activity, the creator of the activity will still appear in the list of profiles. This is because they may have other activities that could be of interest to you.

If you’re experiencing a high number of profiles or activities that you’ve already seen before in a short period of time, it could be due to a limited number of users in your area. We recommend expanding your search preferences in your Settings to bring in more potential Cliqued members and activities.

If you’re not seeing profiles that fit your gender or age preferences, it’s possible that you may need to adjust your preferences. You can double check your preferences by navigating to the “Profile” tab, scrolling down and selecting “Edit Profile,” and then updating the age and location preferences you’ve set. Don’t forget to click “Save profile” to save any changes you make. 

If the issue persists after checking your preferences, you can try closing the app and reopening it or signing out and signing back in again. This can sometimes refresh the app and update the profiles that are displayed. If you’re still experiencing issues, don’t hesitate to Contact us for further assistance.

For iOS users, follow these steps to adjust your location settings for Cliqued:

  1. Open your iOS Settings
  2. Scroll down and select Cliqued
  3. Click on Location
  4. Select “While Using the App”

Data Privacy

Cliqued collects and uses your data to provide you with a personalized and improved experience on the app. This includes information such as your name, age, location, and preferences, which we use to suggest your profile to new connections or activities. Additionally, your data helps us analyze user behavior and preferences, allowing us to continually improve and optimize our services. However, we understand the importance of privacy and security, and we take great care in protecting and securing your data in accordance with our Privacy Policy.

Cliqued collects data in a few ways, including:

  1. Information you provide: When you create an account on Cliqued, you provide basic information such as your name, age, gender, and location.

  2. Information collected automatically: Cliqued also collects information about how you use the app, such as the profiles you view, the people you “cliqued” with, and the activities you participate in. Cliqued collects this information through cookies and similar tracking technologies.

Overall, Cliqued collects data in order to provide a better user experience, personalize content, and improve the app’s features.

We use your data to provide and improve Cliqued’s services, personalize your experience, and communicate with you. Specifically, we use your data for purposes such as suggesting you relevant potential partners or friends, displaying relevant content and advertisements, and providing customer support. Finally, Cliqued also uses your data to conduct research and analytics to improve its services and to comply with legal obligations.

Cliqued may share your data with third-party service providers and partners to perform services on their behalf, such as processing payments, hosting data, analyzing usage trends, and providing customer support. However, they do not sell your personal data to third parties for their marketing purposes. In addition, Cliqued also may disclose your information if required to do so by law or in response to a legal request or court order.
